You can use the Single Player Commands or TooManyItems in-game mods to change your game mode, or MCedit the external map editor.
- In Single Player Commands, use the gamemodecommand.
- With TooManyItems, click the C button on the top left corner of your inventory screen.
- In MCedit, load your world, then change the game mode setting in the World Info screen, then save it.

∙ 11y agoNot in the same world. You will have to make a new world and set the game type before you generate it.
But if you are playing on a multiplayer server and the server has Bukkit you can type in /gamemode (name of person who's gamemode you want to change) 0/1 (0 = Survival 1 = Creative). Note you need Operator status to use this command.

There are a couple ways to do this. If you have cheats enabled on Singleplayer, you can type "/gamemode survival" excluding quotations. Adventure makes destroying blocks not possible unless the right tool is equipped - great for custom maps! "/gamemode adventure" in case you are interested. Another way is by a third party tool, in case you do not have cheats enabled.

The command for that is you type /gamemode (username) 0 for survival and 1 for creative. :D And there you have it!
