For halo 3: Plug in a ethernet cord into the internet/ethernet spot in the back of your 360. Plug the other end of the cord into the other 360. Start up a custom game with the Game Setting (I think). Set that as System link instead of xbox live or Local. Sign in controllers and enjoy.
Yes, it is possible but you need to have separate 360's, tv's and games.
