This error message comes up in games that use 128k Flash chips. The default setting in VisualBoy Advance is to emulate a 64k Flash chip. To fix this, go to Options > Emulator > Save Type, and select "Flash 128k." Be sure to delete any .SAV files for the game before doing this. Otherwise it will continue trying to use the corrupted save file. This error would never occur on a real Game Boy unless the cartridge is a counterfeit copy.
It's not actually the Visual Boy's file. The file is called [game].sav and is actually the so-called "Battery Save" of that game.Basically, it's the actual save game as opposed to a save state (as in it's how the actual cartridge saves)If this is because a game's clock doesn't work, Visual Boy has a built-in real-time clock.
My problem is this. ive downloaded Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2 for mac It works fine with my pokemon emerald game. I can save and load my own saves. However i need a complete save. I downloaded one and converted it to .sgm My rom is called Pokemon Emerald.gba and my save is Pokemon Emerald1.sgm This means that when i press F1 it tries to load the save. However it says its incompatible or something. Please help me. this is urgent
Because for the text editor (and the operating system) there is no such thing as 'C file' only 'file', and files can have any names and extensions.
no save option in psdf
To save u need to download VBA 1.7.3 and it fixes the problems.
just post on a website you like with link to download on website i like media fire
If you are using an emulator VisualBoy Advance click tools and there save type. Try both of the ones with the K or Kb as the unit.
When the option is enabled, VisualBoy Advance can emulate a GameBoy Printer. The GameBoy printer was a device you could plug into your GameBoy and print out stickers and pages from games that supported it. A good example would be Pokemon Gold / Silver / Crystal, in which you could ask a man in Cianwood City to take a picture of your Pokemon. VisualBoy Advance emulates this by capturing the output data and allowing you to save whatever is printed as a .bmp or .png file.

I have visualboy advance 1.7.4. Press fn (left of ctrl) + shift + f1-8 to save and press fn + f1-8 to load. Hope this helps.
Yea just save it like u normally do
Visualboy Advance is the number one gameboy advance emulator. It has a speed up function which is initially assigned to the '`' or '~' key I believe but you can map it to any button you want. It also has save states which is just the push of a button so I don't know why you would want to go to the menu but I believe you can in the menu if you so wish.
