I am not a doctor but I had a seizure and it was told to me by an epileptic clinic at Vanderbilt and proven that there has been research done that this causes seizures. I never took Tramadol again and it has been 6 years and I never had another spell. In 2003, the research that had been done was fairly new. Please do not mix the two drugs and if you are taking Paxil, make sure that you always triple check with the doctors and pharmacists that what you are prescribed will not interfere with Paxil.
neither is a narcotic both are anti-depressants paxil is a ssri while elavil is a trycylic
Can you take paxil and muscle relaxant together
It depends on which other medications you are on. Elavil (amitriptyline) is as effective as Paxil (paroxetine), if dosed properly. However, Elavil is far more anti-cholinergic, meaning that it causes drying of the mucus membranes - and, therefore, constipation, urinary retention, dry skin, dry eyes, and even "dry brain" (which is a medical colloquialism indicating for poor concentration and short-term memory, and even confusion) could occur - especially when any dehydration might occur. Elavil is also more cardiotoxic, and has far more interactions with other drugs and medications, than Paxil (or other SSRI antidepressants). Check with your prescribing physician before making this very significant kind of change in your medication regimen.
is it safe to take fioricet with paxil
Paxil is an anti-depressant and clonazepam is a depressant. No physical harm will come of it but it makes the Paxil less effective.
can you take pristiq and paxil together
My aunt who has alzheimers just started taking depakote. She already was on Paxil. Dr decreased the dose of paxil from 30mg to 20mg. She takes both paxil and the depakote in the evening.
There are many, Cymbalta, Lexapro, Abilify, Celexa, Effexor, Paxil, Elavil, and many more. It really depends on the severity and symptoms. Consult a doctor and they can help prescribe.
You can but you risk developing "serotonin syndrome" which can be fatal. A better choice is to keep trying ONE antidepressent until you find one that works best. I find that taking paxil and clonopin works best for me. Generally, if an SSRI doesnt make you feel a lot better, the older tricyclic antidepressents (i.e. Elavil) will. (You really need to take a med for a whole month before deciding on it.)
Klonopin, elavil, paxil, tho i am not a doctor
I don't think that is possible.
