Crickets, meal worms, etc. Basically insects.
Yes bearded dragons can get stomach aches due to: Eating meal worms, meal worms have hard exoskeletons with very little meat and can make your bearded dragon constipated, Over feeding, or interacting with your bearded dragon less than 2 hrs after he/she has eaten, you have to allow your pet to bask for at least 2 hrs which allows them to properly digest their meal (also not to get pooped on ;)
For your bearded dragon to be healthiest you should feed him crickets meal worms and Romain lettuce. when he is a baby he probably wont eat the salad, and he will eat a LOT of crickets. when he gets older he will cut back on crickets and go to salad. I would not recommend giving him meal worms until he is full grown they can cause impaction in babies.
It probably is, as it is found in the ingredients of many packaged bearded dragon foods. Fish oil and fish meal are common ingredients. Large doses of it are probably not recommended, but a sprinkling of it can't hurt.
No. Because Bearded Dragons Only Live In Australia.
No. But what i feed my bearded dragons, is super worms, meal worms, and crickets. Sometimes my family picks up a worm from the wild and feed it to them and so far, it never harmed my bearded dragons. So far, they ate grub worms and earth worms.
Yes, you can buy meal worms, crickets and more from pet stores. It's not recommended to feed your beardie wild insects just because you don't know what that insect is carrying, for all you know it could have pesticides on it that will kill your beardie
Yes, they do eat worms such as meal worms, wax worms, and superworms.

Well I have a gecko and for the most part they are the same. During the summer I can feed him any type or bugs as long as it does not have a hard outer shell. (and if your lizard doesn't eat it might be to hard) Another thing to consider is how big is this bug. If the bug is to big he/she might not eat it all or if he/she does eat it he/she might not go for another one.
An impaction is when somthing blocks the intestial tract. In severe cases it can even cause paralysis and in mild cases it can cause costupation. A few things can cause it: * if it eats somthing that is too big for it * if it eats too many bugs with hard shells * if it eats its bedding (any loose substate, sand, wood chippings, etc..) * if it does not get enough heat to digest its food properly
they should be on a carpet type bedding for the first few years( not carpet like in your home, go to pet-smart or pet-co and ask for a carpeting for your lizard). they will like to be in a 40 gallon when full grown make sure the cage stays around 80 degrees. make a basking area that is hotter than the rest of the cage. they will eat crickets or meal worms they want to be sprayed down every other day clean their cage and keep a water dish with water in it but not to much that they can drownLike a dragon with a beard
