Bloody stools or blood from the anus can be from many causes. Benign causes of bright red blood are usually an anal fissure or tear from trauma either from passing a large stool, or placing something into the rectum. Bloody stools can also be caused by intestinal infections, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal abnormalities, or colon cancer.
Dark black blood from the anus is always concerning and suggests a bleed in the upper gastrointestinal tract that should be evaluated immediately by a doctor.
I think a lot of people see blood in their stool and find it frightening because they think it's associated only with serious and unusual conditions. While there are many serious conditions which can cause it, the most common are relatively innocuous. If the blood is well oxygenated as evidenced by a fairly bright red, then chances are it is from on, near, or just outside the anus, such as a scratch or hemorrhoid, and less likely to be serious, although there are exceptions, so don't absolutely rule out a serious cause. Can you remember a scratching sensation at your last bowel movement? Did you eat anything recently, such as tortilla chips, which may have caused a sharp edge to scratch if not thoroughly chewed and digested with enough liquids? Do you have a hemorrhoid or hemorrhoids? If so, you should be OK to monitor the situation and see if it doesn't resolve on its own once the suspected cause is dealt with.
If the blood has a deep red or purplish color (currant jelly look), or if your stools a black and tarry, that could indicate a more serious problem, and, though not likely a medical emergency, you should see your doctor as soon as possible.
Yes. See your family doctor. It could just be hemroids or something much more serious!!!
If you are bleeding from the anus, something is not right. It should be checked out by a doctor.
Colon cancer comes to mind.

Deworming should not cause bleeding-period. If your kitten is passing blood, you need to take him to the veterinarian for an exam.
One cause of pain in your anus when you cough is the presence of hemorrhoids. A hemorrhoid is a swollen vein inside your anus.
Yes, a forceful kick to the anus can potentially cause trauma to the blood vessels in the area, leading to the development of hemorrhoids. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience symptoms like bleeding, pain, or swelling in the anal area after such an injury.
No. Generally speaking, blood is bad.
Yes, it is completely normal to bleed from your anus when taking a dump. I normally spew out so much blood, there is more blood then Excrement.
Most common cause would likely be hemorrhoids. That's where a part of the digestive tract extrudes. Uncomfortable and often painful, but easily cured - they are generally 'frozen' off. Bright red blood suggests problem is close to the anus, while darker blood may indicate a problem farther away from the anus.
Often, a small amount of blood can be caused by hemorrhoids or small fissures in the anus. The color of the blood is important to note. Bright red blood in small amounts indicate a problem at the end of the bowel. Black or dark blood indicate bleeding further up in the digestive system.
