There is no special danger from taking these drugs together. However, Seroquel is very damaging to the brain. It will probably leave you worse off in the long run than if you had never taken it. It can cause tardive dyskinesia, a form of brain damage similar to Parkinson's where you shake and your body moves uncontrollably. This happens to as many as 20% of people who take Seroquel or other antipsychotics for a long time, and once you have it nothing can be done, it's a permanent condition.

Antipsychotics like Seroquel are mostly used to control behavior that society finds undesirable, not for the benefit of the patient. Unless it is being prescribed for schizophrenia, I would think long and hard about taking it.

Yes it is to a degree. Depends what the seroquel is prescribed for. Meaning, for sleep or anti-psychotic properties. Either way, the drug takes a lot out of the "normal" person. Mixed with suboxone, which has agonistic properties, the user (me) is constantly feeling like there is a lack of energy. Always a little grogy, the morning is worst...my question has always been the long term effects. But as buprenorphine (subtex/ suboxone) has only recently been approved I don't think we will see any real data on the drug and it's effects for another few years.. I myself am on it as a maintenance drug. Was an 11 year methadone patient and heroin addict.. I think it's the best thing out there for people like me..that don't like all the crap that goes along with the methadone users life..: carries, countless pharmacy trips, lack of sex drive , sweats, weight gain, general malaise, and the list goes on....... Medical-

Unless your prescribing doctor has instructed you to take Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) with Xanax (alprazolam) I highly recommend you not take both. Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Suboxone warns that:

"It is extremely dangerous to take benzodiazepines or other depressants while taking SUBOXONE. A serious overdose and death may occur if benzodiazepines, sedatives, tranquilizers, antidepressants, or alcohol are taken at the same time as SUBOXONE."

Anecdotal-

NO NOT AT ALL! I have been being treaded for oxy addiction. One day i took a few xanax when i was taking 2 8mg pills a day and i felt sooo bad and the next day i wanted to blow my brains out. So i STOPPED! And when i went to my monthly dr app. i asked the dr if i could take them with it and he got real serious and said "NO Its not to be mix with any other drugs, and it will drop yoju dead." A few months later i took a Adderall with my suboxone and i was sick as crap. So my best answer to you is NO dont mess with it.

Can you take seroquel and Ambien together safely?

Are all of these prescriptions from the same doctor? If not then your answer is no it is not safe. All three of these drug are a form of sedatives and I can't see how you would even be able to stay awake will taking suboxone and seroquel. I am an RN and I do not think this combination is safe at all, but ask your doctor about it to be sure.

Do suboxone and seroquel have the same ingrediens?

No. Suboxone contains Bupenorphine and Naloxone, which is most often used for opiate withdrawal. Seroquel contains Quetiapine, which is an atypical antipsychotic. They are extremely different drugs with very different uses and effects.
