Is it safe to put on-road diesel in a tractor?

Yes. The difference is that off road fuel contains purple dye. If the tractor is older you may want to add some tranmission oil to the fuel as new Low Sulpher Diesel does not lubricate as well as the older diesel. As well you can add a diesel fuel conditioner which helps restore the lubrication properties of the fuel.

Can a match stick burn diesel fuel?

Diesel fuel is ignited by heat AND compression. For example: Throwing a lit match in a bucket of diesel fuel won't ignite it. However, Gasoline will catch fire with just heat. PS, Don't try that trick I taught you in sentence 2! Be smart and safe!

Can Kerosene be added to diesel as it is clear as water Can It be added it to diesel truck at fill up meaning one gal Kerosene plus twenty Gal diesel fuel to help clean the injectors?

Check the related links. It appears Kerosene can be safely added to diesel. In fact, Kerosene is often used to "de-gel" the Diesel fuel in those cold winter months. Note: Many of the "Gas" (of "Fuel") Treatment bottles on the auto-parts store shelves contain "Kerosene" - most advertise as such "Contains Jet Fuel!" or some such....but truly it's marketing hype. To further expand on this, no, I wouldn't suggest adding straight kerosene to your diesel fuel....instead, go to an auto-parts store, and find a Fuel Treatment safe for Diesel Fuel/Engines. Or, optionally, look up "Sea Foam" - it's an engine oil, intake cleaner, and fuel stabilizer, works for Gasoline and Diesel engines...since you are wanting to clean Fuel Injectors, I _think_ this may be the answer to your question.

Can a hydraulic pump be used to pump diesel?

I am going to say yes, is it safe NO, a transfer pump is cheaper, and designed to handle diesel, some hyd. pump seal can be destroyed by diesel fuel also. The only hyd. pump I would use if you had to would be a gear type pump

If a diesel Mercedes c220 cdi w202 runs out of fuel do you have to pump fuel around the system to start it or can you just put fuel in the tank and it will start?

- The easiest way is to add few liters of diesel, press and hold fully accelerator pedal and try to start the engine. It should start within 10-20 sec. - More difficult way is - open fuel filter - fill the filter right up with fresh diesel. Try to start the engine. - Safe way - Call assistance and ask to remove air from fuel system ($$$) Be aware: Fuel pomp do not like to pomp air - $$$
