No. Doing this too often will dry out the doll's hair, and it will eventually need to be sent to the doll hospital for replacement hair- which is expensive! Instead, try spritzing her hair with water and brushing it with a metal- toothed hairbrush, sold by American Girl for about 6 bucks. They also have other hair treatments, such as some sort of magical de-tangler I can't figure out sold in the hair care kit. If her hair is really that bad, ask an adult to carefully trim the ends of her hair, or, if it has no hope, send your doll in for a replacement wig.
