Dexron auto trans fluid.
NO. Very different fluids for very different purposes.
Maybe, or maybe not. Tell them to check the A/T fluid.
Motor oil, trans fluid, gear oil, power steering, washer fluid, coolant, brake fluid, gas..... Please be more specific
For the automatic transmission, Castrol Import Multi-car ATF or similar.
jeep dealer in bloomington in. said 10w30 motor oil. Depends on the year and trans. some take 80w90, some take a synthetic trans fluid, others ATF.
On the 5.7 6speed, trans is sealed, no dipstick or filler.
A 1997 uses Mopar ATF+4 as the trans fluid.
20-50 wt motor oil OR HD Primary oil
Absolutely not. Ignore anyone who tells you different.
20/50 motor oil and you can use sport trans fluid in trani if you can find it. this is the old fluid used, but you can also use the new stuff which is Formula+ or the synthetic Syn3 in the trani, both of which are available at Harley dealers.
It will contaminate the trans fluid and very likely gum things up. I would drain and fill entirely with new fluid.
