well, it all depends on the type of paintball. If you buy the horrible paintballs from Dicks or Walmart, those are made in China and filled with chemical based paints, those are NEVER OK to use on trees. I would suggest going to a local field and buying their paint (only if they have a woodsball field) because they have to use it in order not to be shut down by the government for ecological destruction.

no, the outcast is a 68 caliber marker
The very first paintballs were meant to mark trees for logging companies, so no. They are both non-toxic and biodegradable.
Most use the .68 caliber "normal" paintballs, like the TPX and the Tiberius arms 8.0. However there are several, like the Kingman training pistols and some rap4 pistols, use .43 caliber paintballs. Also the Tiberius 8.1 and 9.1 can shoot the First Strike paintballs.
They both shoot paintballs at 300 fps. so neither.
Not normal 68 cal. paintballs but you can buy special 6mm paintballs intended for airsoft guns ive never seen one in stores so you might have to order them from online
Because it is an adrenaline rush to shoot and be shot at by other players.
They do not, mainly because of the tolerances for paintballs themselves (it will burst when exposed to exploding gunpowder) and the size of them (the average size of paintballs are in the .68 caliber area), unless if you're talking about Simunition (in which this type of projectile is restricted to the members of the armed forces and law enforcement officers).
No, most fields won't allow the 6mm paintballs used in airsoft/paintball hybrid markers; definitely check with your field before bringing any.
It is not a good idea. They probably have dirt or other things on them and will not shoot straight. In the middle of a game if you run out then yes, but otherwise just leave them. also do not try to wash paintballs.
