If you took any pain killer and it was too strong do not take any more medication the same day. Check with your physician before taking any prescription medication. Just because the milligrams are the same does not mean the drugs are equivalent to each other and have the same therapeutic affect in the body.
Oxycontin is a synthetic manufactured MS. I have taken both for a condition I have. I will say I stay in reality much more with the MS. The oxy changed my personality, I am told not to the best. I think the pain relief is about the same. Tolerance is always a problem. The best thing is to STOP, I truly believe now that I have my pain is no worse. Now if you are taking them for other reasons than pain, then well....
You probably meant Morphine sulfate, I hope. Morphine base is not very water soluble. By combining morphine base with a dilute strong acid, you are creating a salt, such as Morphine Hydrochloride (from hydrochloric acid), or Morphine sulfate (from sulfuric acid) and many more. It is a fairly water soluble chemical that is used in hospitals, either for injection, oral pills or even a suppository,
it helps somewhat definitely better than nothing but not real strong or euphoric or anything like that.
Well, first of all, I don't even know what Oxycontin IS, so I can't answer that for you. Plus, you really need to work on ur grammar :P-Greenwulf kyuu~ ;3Hey greenwulf...the question was for people WHO KNOW what Oxycontin is..duh...and your a big one to talk about someone elses grammar...and unless you've been under a rock for the last 10yrs pretty much everyone knows what Oxycontin is....that is if you ever listen to the radio or watch t.v. even once in a while...someone on here really needed some info and all you did was put them down and try to act superior!...If you didn't know the answer then you shoul've kept your mouth shut and not be so nasty...that person was actually asking for help and you acted like a little B..... ...so maybe from now on if you don't know something keep your insecure snarky comments to yourself!! The Answer to your question is no. Oxycontin, a time released version of oxycodone is made up of just that, oxycodone and oxycodone is a synthetic opiod whereas morphine is not synthetic and different in chemical structure, though in the correct doses the effects can be matched and they are often prescribed for the same ailments, there is however no morphine in Oxycontin, or oxymorphone, contrary to popular street myth, there is morphine in morphine.
No D.A. its codein wich is morphine sulfate
Hydrogen sulfate would be an alternate name for sulfuric acid, H2SO4. It is a very strong acid.
Oxytocin is a hormone that does so. Oxycontin is the brand name of a pain killer.
No, absolutely not. Oxycontin is much too strong for animals. Vets prescribe painkillers designed specifically for animals.
dilaudid
there are many including morphine, dilaudid, demerol, darvocet, fentanyl, and many more. There are several types of strong narcotic pain killers in use in both hospitals and available as prescription medications. Its important to note that some of these narcotic medications can be very effective intravenously. and less so orally or by other routes of administration. Some very strong narcotics most commonly used are: Fentanyl, Oxymorphone (Opana), Hydromorphone (Dilaudid), Meperidine (Demerol), Oxycodone (Oxycontin/Oxycontin), Methadone, Morphine, and Nubain. Some weaker narcotics are Hydrocodone (Lorcet/Vicodin), Oxycodone with APAP (Percocet), Propoxyphene (Darvocet), and Ultram (Ultracet).
Morphine.
