I don't know if it's scientifically safe but I work with dogs for 5 years now and I always use savlon on wounds and have had no problems always make sure you have washed and dryed it out first tho to get rid of germs use it only on minor cuts, dry skin, rash or grases. Never use it inside the body, mouth and eyes, and wrap it to make sure it can't be licked and injested.

No, you should not use any creams or lotions on dogs. Dogs tend to lick irritated areas, which would mean they are eating the cream rather than absorbing the medication into the skin. This can cause problems from both an overdose of the anti-itch medication as well as toxic responses to the ingredients in the cream.
Petroleum jelly or Vaseline is the most inexpensive and the best remedy for dry skin. It is also known as 'Petrolatum'. It is very safe and has been used for about 100 years to hep heal cuts and dry and flaking skin.

No it is not safe, We all have sweat glants, and if you draw on yourself it could seep into your skin, just like a cream(which is good for you),but ink or markers isn't, it layers the skin and even though markers say "non toxic" its still bad.
