Its NOT a matter of HOW late, just that you ARE late. Read your contract. That should explain when you are in DEFAULT.
You would probably just be charged a late fee. And there would be a negative comment on your credit report as well.
Yes, I am 27 years old I've had credit history for the past 3 years, I have NEVER missed a payment, always paid on time and I only have two credit cards that are open. I cosigned an automobile loan for a "friend" they paid late twice and I just found out my score is 584. BS right.
Definitely not. If you have kept something for a few years, it is too late to exchange it.

As a collector's item, it would depend on the condition it is in, and how plentiful this denomination and year combination is. At face value, it is worthless, for all practical purposes. As a matter of fact, since France adopted the euro in 2005, you might not be able to exchange this even if it were a much bigger value. In 1960 new francs were issued, with a value of 100 old francs to one new. Your 5 franc would then have been worth 5 centimes. When I was in Europe in the late 1960s and 1970 I think you could get a cup of coffee for about 50 centimes--that would have been ten of the coin you have.

I assume you are referring to a FRANC, not a "FRAN". Unfortunately you're several years too late.... France, like most of the EU, switched to euros in 2002 (it was all over radio, TV, and newspapers!). All francs were withdrawn from circulation at that time.Look at a site such as www.xe.com for current exchange rates. They change every day so it's not possible to post a specific number here.
