No, not toxic. Just silly. The air conditioner works on exchanging heat for cool. If you run the ac unit indoors, it will actually get warmer!

Yes, definitely. The conditioner not only keeps your water quality great, but it also dechlorinates the water, which is necessary for any fish to survive. If you are using distilled water, then you do not have to dechlorinate it, but if your water is from the tap or is chlorinated, then you must dechlorinate it. Also, a quick word of advice: Check to see if your conditioner also removes chloramine! Chloramine is toxic to fish, and some water conditioners do not remove it. Only purchase the best water conditioner.

Enjoy your charcoal grill and tasty meals in safety this summer!

Happening to us, too, with a brand new GE room air conditioner, 5000BTU. Plastic smell is mentioned in the appliance brochure which says the smell can last 2 weeks. But I was worried about toxic fumes so I called GE. The woman told me the smell should last only a couple of hours and that I should take it back. So now we have to take it out of the window, hump it 40 minutes to the store, get another one, hump it home, install it and see if this one is any better. If not, we have to repeat the process. That's GE customer service?! Also, very noisy. I'm looking elsewhere.
when charcoal burns there is excess carbon causing soot to be given offThe above answer is correct in that there is too much carbon available for the amount of oxygen, which can result in the production of carbon monoxide gas. This gas is colorless and odorless and extremely toxic. A victim of carbon monoxide poisoning will usually simply fall asleep, and will die due to respiratory failure.Do not burn charcoal indoors or in any enclosed space.
