How did the discovery of quasars disprove the steady state theory?

The steady state theory was disproved by observations in the sense that at larger distances, the Universe doesn't look the same as nearby. This means the Universe has changed over time, directly contradicting the main assumption of the steady state theory. - I am not sure to what extent quasars were involved, but quasars do tend to show up more frequently at greater distances, i.e., in the early Universe.

What is one model of the origin of the universe which proposes that the earth was always as it is now?

the Big Bang Theory.

The big bang theory and origin of the Earth?

The big bang theory deals with the formation and evolution of the Universe, it has nothing to do with the origin of life on Earth.

If you are to formulate your own theory about the origin of the universe how would you explain it?

The problem is - we can only speculate on the origin of the universe - based on our limited knowledge of the bit of space we live in ! There are literally billions of other galaxies out there - with hundreds of billions of suns and planets. There could be many other rules of physics & chemical elements that we just don't know of ! There's just no way of proving how the universe started (or whether this is the first ever universe !).

Who came up with the theory of the big bang?

Yes, but not initially as Einstein was a major proponent of the Steady State theory. Einstein is puported to have spent the latter years of his life trying to justify his Steady State Theory with the concepts and supportive evidence for an evolving inflationary universe theory.

How long has the universe existed going by the Steady State Theory?

The steady-state theory is obsolete - it is now known that the Universe does change over time (the Steady-State Theory states that it doesn't). According to the Steady-State Theory, the Universe has no beginning and no end.

What theory proposes that the universe does not change with time?

The steady-state universe theory

Which theory states that the universe has always exitsted as it is now?

steady state theory

What is cosmological theory?

A theory of the origin and formation of the universe (the cosmos).

What is the evolution theory of the creation of the universe?

Evolution does not concern the origin of the universe. Evolution is a theory concerning the origin of species--diverse biological organisms--via mechanisms of inheritance with modification. The origin of the universe is best dealt with by the Big Bang theory.

What is the explanation for the steady state theory?

The Steady State theory states that matter is produced in the universe at a continuous rate, so that the universe stays constant throughout space and time. It is no longer an accepted theory in much of the scientific community.

Is the big bang theory a theory about the origin of the solar system?

Not exactly, it is a theory about the origin of the Universe; which does include the Solar system...

Why was the big bang theory taken forward?

The Big Bang Theory and the revised Steady State Theory are similar in that they are both in compliance with the Cosmological Principle, which states that the Universe is homogeneous and isotropic in Space and Time, and the concept of an expanding universe. The Big Bang Theory and the revised Steady State Theory are different by virtue of their proposed models. The Big Bang supports interpreted observational evidence for an evolutionary expansion of the universe and rationalization for a finite age of the universe. The revised Steady State Theory promotes that new matter and energy are continuously created as the universe expands and the rationalization for an ageless universe.

Which of these is a theory that many scientists accept as an explanation for the origin of the universe?
