Yes it does help you lose weight because of the fasting time is longer. A lot of people adapted that method and some find it suitable or effective. Just do not starve. Eat healthy throughout the day and divide smaller portions for lunch and dinner. Some even do not eat after 5. In most cases, eating early dinner is beneficial.
