I am not sure about the the quality of the answer. I am not sure about the truthfulness of my answer. But i believe that it is true. The life has begun some three and half years back. It has sustained and evolved through all the odds, including the infections. Better and better species has evolved through these years. There is very complex type of symbiosis has been existing all these years among the various species. I have good reasons to believe that infections keep you healthy. They boost up your immunity. This does not mean that you should take no precautions to prevent the infections. This also does not mean that you should not treat the infections. You have been taking safe drinking water and food. It has benefited the mankind in short term. You do not know the long term effects of the same. It may be harmful. Probably, it will be harmful. I believe that all the natural things were good for you. It is better to be as natural as possible.

So far, we can only speak for our own planet, Earth; we're not aware of any other planet with either plant life or large quantities of free oxygen.
