No. If they are that would mean all people are lazy since anyone can end up homeless. If you have to sleep outside, getting cold, not feeling safe and not eat properly and of course feeling bad about your situation and the things and people you have lost, it is not easy to jump up and get a job. Some turn to alcohol and drugs to be able to cope, just like many who are not homeless turn to alcohol and drugs to deal with their problems. As the job market is today there are no guarantees any of us will never be homeless. All of a sudden you are behind with the rent and have no one that can help you. Maybe you have no family. It's not THEM and US - it's just us.
