No not weird, but you could do it in a different way. Instead ask him what he finds attractive about you. Try to get beyond the physical with the question and offer suggestions to him to help. Men/boys think in physical ways and they are attacted to women/girls by the physical first and then the rest comes later. My husband said it was the light in my hair ( go figure), but this is what they do. For women/ girls it is much more that attracts them to boys/men.
