no it is not because an itouch is a phone but it holds music and other cool stuff and if the cell phone already holds music the itouch holds more than a reagular phone and more selection. An iPod touch is just that: an ipod. though you may be able to run many of the thousands of apps on iTunes, i still think it is ok to have a touch screen phone like the voyager, vu, dare, or instinct because they don't run apps or hold music

I think textfree is the better one. I did use textnow, but the number they give you looks weird and doesn't have the right area code. Textplus gives you a texting adress, not a real phone number. Textfree gives you a number with your area code, and you can call people with it too.
