- There is nothing wrong with not having sex in a marriage if both partners are still happy together. There are many reasons why spouses are living together without having a sexual relationship. They may have an illness; depression; sexual dysfunction by either of the spouses or the two are elderly. Love is not always about sex, but true love; respect for each other and abiding by their marriage vows.
