Yes, Jailbreaking is completely safe.
Because it is just a software mod, it can be restored using iTunes.
All Jailbreaking does is go into the phone and unlock everything that apple locked to keep you from getting everything free.

∙ 12y agoYes it is completely safe, I have jail broke many programs. The only problem is if you update your iPhone/iPad by plugging it into the computer, all broken programs will be deleted, and you will need to re-break it.

∙ 12y agoNo, you can always restore if something goes wrong (which typically doesn't if you know what your doing) but your device never becomes unusable unless you do something to the hardware of the device.
If you want to be safe, before jailbreaking, backup your data to iTunes or the Cloud.

∙ 11y agoIt is safe, but there is only so many you can do with a jailbroken iPad. I have one myself and themes are limited but they may just be me. I guess it would depend on the iOS version of your iPad.
