Karak is a General Caste in West Bengal and some other states in India. Karak general caste are considered higher foward castes and belong to business, agriculture, industrial castes like Mahisyas, Kshatriyas. Sources take them back to the Narmada region in India, which used to be known as Mashimati long time back.
