There seems to be a lot of speculation as to whether they are or not. According to numerous sources, they have engaged in illegal harassment of people who may not even owe these debts. They also allegedly verbally abuse, harass and threaten people they call. They used to have a very cheaply made website which looked very fake. No one has been able to get a BAR number from them and there is no one at the company who is named either Kessler or Freedman. The owners of the company are not lawyers and former employees have claimed that the company is not a law firm, everyone there uses aliases and that paychecks regularly bounce.
