What is the exact model number of your printer (e.g. Lexmark X1270, Lexmark X1240, Lexmark X1250, etc.)? Also, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. With the printers I mentioned, there are Win 7 drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. In some cases, the Vista drivers are compatible with Win 7 operating system. If you want to check it out yourself,. Type the exact model number of your printer (e.g. Lexmark X1270, Lexmark X1240, Lexmark X1250, etc.) in the bar just below the images of some of Lexmark's printers, then hit Select. The next page should show you the available drivers for the printer you can download.
No reason why not. Windows 7 installed my printer without the need for the CD-ROM that came with it. If Windows doesn't recognise your printer, there are loads of websites with drivers that should fix the problem.
Try the two related links. The first one is to a specific site which is offering drivers for the printer model you specified. The second, is the result of a web search for your printer (there's thousands of possibilities !)
I have downloaded the disk from lexmark 1200 and I get the answer "computer and printer do not connect"?

This All-In-One 1200 series is not compatible with Mac OSx. However, try this. Do not install the printer software. Instead just connect it to your iMac and then turn the printer on. Your Mac will will try and locate a driver for this unit. It may work or it may only partially work or it may not work at all.
Go to the Lexmark web site. You should be able to download the necessary drivers from there.
The Lexmark 1200 takes a black cartridge and a color cartridge. The black cartridge that the Lexmark 1200 uses is or 16 and 17 cartridge, with the 17 cartridge being the moderate use cartridge. Almost all the printer company's have jumped on the Mac platform so yes, Lexmark is compatible.BUT....As with any manufacturer not all models are Mac compatible so you should go to the printers web support site to see if they do have Mac drivers. The Mac has basic printing features, called "Plug and Play", but you may have to go to the printers web support site to get the latest pinter drivers for your particular printer model to enable all the options. It can take from weeks to months to get the new drivers for the next upgrade in Mac OSX. Windows has the same issues. If you have an older printer the printer manufacturer may not keep making updated drivers for every OS upgrade so make sure they have the drivers for all your older devices before upgrading any OS, Mac or Windows.
Check cables again, switch cables with known good cables. Check IP. Make sure all 192 first. Try loading drivers for a newer version printer.
You need to install the driver which is compatible for Windows 7. It can be downloaded from the Lexmark website or the following CD. You have to uninstall it first before installing the one for Windows 7 to prevent any conflict. To uninstall it properly. Then, if you are downloading it from their website check if your computer is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to Start Menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Also, make sure you have the exact model name. (eg. X1240, X1250, X1270, etc.) Some printers are to old for Windows 7, you might try downloading Vista drivers and run them in compatibility mode.
