People says the authentic ray ban is designed by Italy and made in U.S A. But it seems most rayban has made in Italy on the sunglasses. LOL.....
yes they are made in both italy and china
Ray-ban and most other manufacturers frames are made from Plastic compounds. Ray-ban used to make all its glasses out of 'glass'. Now it makes its sunglass products out of scratch resistent plastics. Often they will 'feel' like glass but are in fact most usually plastic production.
can, but not original lens from ray ban .... ray ban have not do prescription lenses ...
They are manufactured by Ray-Ban in China.
not all ray-bans are made from italy. Original classic styles are made in italy, where as the fashion ones (just gradient tinted lenses with no polarization or photochromic lenses) are made in China. To ensure you are getting the real thing, only buy from reputable dealers, or check the quality of work and ensure that everything has Ray Ban or RB written on it (lens, frame, arms, bridge, pads)
You go to authorized store and buy the original Ray-Ban... If you decide to buy them from someone use this tips... http://www.socialphy.com/posts/off-topic/7800/How-to-identify-an-Aviator-Ray-Ban-from-a-fake_.html

There are multiple models with the stud. The Ray-Ban original wayfarer is the thick black round half circle with the 2 studs.
Ray-Ban was initially invented in America in 1937. The first Ray Ban sunglasses were created for the U.S Army Air Cop. In 1999, The owner sold the brand to Italian eyewear company Luxottica for $640 million. Now, almost all ray-ban sunglasses are produced in Italy now. http://www.raybandiscountoutlet.com.
B and L stands for Bausch and Lomb and they used to own Ray Ban before they sold to luxotica in 1999 so you may have gotten an old pair of ray bans. Luxotica are the only ones that make them in Italy. Bausch and Lomb is made in the usa. The only way to know for sure is to check the lenses to see if it has BL etched into the lenses. There should also be a model number on the inside of the other arm.
