Hiya, so I got a nape piercing on Saturday. Everything is absolutely perfect, healing just fine, no redness, cleaning twice daily. It doesn't even hurt anymore which is amazing.
My piercer was super careful and everything, checked I knew EVERYTHING beforehand, went through it, got the location spot on, checked I had the right skin (enough give etc) and measured it out. Super professional and careful on every step.
But I was told today by someone that the bar they used was wrong, my piercer used a bioflex barbell, with a few extra mm for swelling. My reason being that I react to all types of metal, even titanium, I'm super sensitive. My piercings always do amazing with bioflex, and always heal up perfect. But i was told today I needed a titanium staple bar or else it would 100% reject without a doubt. Is this true? I've read up and people have mixed opinions, some get on well with bioflex barbells, others get on well with titanium staples.
Will this be okay? It seems absolutely fine in my opinion, healing up amazing, but obviously i'm new to nape piercings so need some more advice.
Thanks
p.s I'm off to get a tattoo at a great place near me, and I'm going to ask their piercer (shes really good) on her opinion too.
It's simply a nape piercing
It is called a "nape" piercing
Yes, but only after it is completely healed, which can be up to one or two years.
Answer 1: It's "nape," not "nap," and it doesn't symbolize anything. Or, it symbolizes what you want it to symbolize (like if you got to celebrate getting over your fear of needles, then that's what it symbolizes!
Around the piercing but not on the piercing.
Yea,i have a lip piercing and it does that do its natural
only if your parents say it is ok
Please answer
bad idea
The "Nape" is the back of the neck. An example of a sentence containing "nape" would be: "Linda scratched the nape of her neck."
The nape of her neck...
Nape is the back of the neck.
