The body is guarding the tissue while the piercing is healing, this toughening will ease off as the piercing heals. Be sure to stay on your aftercare routine.

Can you wear makeup with a Monroe piercing?
Well you can wear makeup by and near your Monroe piercing but keep it away from the piercing it's self, make up tends to cause trouble with *unseasoned piercings (*piercings less than a year old). While we are at it be cautious with facial scrubs and the piercing as well, they can be hard to rinse out of the piercing if it gets into the tissue.
Can a tongue ring be too small?
yes. Especially during healing. You want a longer bar during healing to allow for swelling. Other than healing, the bar can be too short and really tight against the tongue. Not sure if it can go through the piercing like it can while healing but I'd be wary. Just get whatever length is most comfortable for you.
What not to use while your lip piercing is healing?
-Mouthwash with alcohol -peroxide -alcohol -Don't put chapstick/lip balm around the actual piercing. You can use it just not on it.
If you get your lip pierced will it affect the way you play the trumpet?
I have a lip piercing and play trumpet... While healing, yes especially when its still swollen but after the piercing is fully healed it doesn't affect at all...its as if its not even there!
Is it normal for a nose ring to hurt after about eight months?
No a nostril piercing should only be uncomfortable for the first day or two, but eight weeks later means you are having some healing issues. Most likely the healing agents you are using on your piercing are causing the problem, stop using everything on your piercing and just flush the piercing while moving the jewellery under running water. The discomfort should ease in 24 to 48 hours.
Is it normal for around your lip piercing to sting every once in a while?
Yes, when it's new this may occur from time to time it's just the body healing the piercing and on occasion you will get the odd stitch now and again.
White puss coming out of your nose piercing what does that mean?
Well it simply means the piercing is healing, that's lymphatic matter. You body generates this as it builds new tissue. So as the healing progresses this discharge will ease off. Just simply irrigate the piercing under running water in the shower and shuffle or rotate the jewellery while rinsing the piercing. There is no need nor should you even use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bactine or any other solution on your piercing. That's it, nothing more.
