Have an elderly (96) mother. Doctor diagnosed bladder infection and prescibed one week of nitrofur-macr. After two days on this medication she has sickness and diarrhea. I did not see that it should be taken with food but I just saw on this site that it should be taken with food. Maybe that's the problem.
