Most acids are compounds of nonmetals. But some also contain metalloids such as silicon (in silicic acid H2SiO3).

A few contain metals such as chromium (chromic acid, H2CrO4) and maganese (permanganic acid, HMnO4)

Reaction of metal and Acids is base on electrode potential and proton (H+) reduction far more active than the rest of the metal so it can accept electron and produce H2 gas with any metal.

However, to state that acid don't react with non-metal is not always correct. There are reaction of carbon and nitric acid as I aware of. But mostly, electrode potential for non-metal is not favour these type of electrochemistry reaction.

First, acid is not any single substance but a class of many different substances.

Second, all acids are compounds and the terms metal and nonmetal only apply to elements.

Do metaloids contain metals and nonmetals?

Metalloids do not contain either metals or nonmetals. They are elements that have properties of both metals and metalloids, and are found between the metals and nonmetals on the periodic table.

Metals include elements and alloys?

Alloys contain metals but also nonmetals.

Are molecular compounds made up of metals or nonmetals?

Some molecular compounds, such as methyl mercury, contain both metals and nonmetals. Most molecular compounds contain only nonmetals, and all molecular compounds contain at least one nonmetal element.

What group is non-metals in?

Nonmetals are in the groups 17 and 18. But the groups 14-17 contain also nonmetals.

Do all metals form one column on the periodic table?

No. The majority of the columns on the periodic table, 26 of them, contain only metals. An additional 4 contain some metals along with nonmetals and/or metalloids.

Yes, it is correct.

What types of atoms compose each type of compound only metals only nonmetals or both?

For "only metals" the answer is alloys or intermetallic compounds, formed of course from atom of metals - the bonds are of metallic type. All other chemical compounds contain atoms of chemical elements, metals or nonmetals.

How are metalloids differents from metals and nonmetals?

because metalloids usually have properties that are similar to metals and nonmetals

What kind of bonds do metals and nonmetals form?

Metals and nonmetals form ionic bonds.

Does metal react with bases to produce salts?

No. Metals react with nonmetals or acids to produce salts. Salts can also form when acids react with bases.
