It violates Ohio law to not display a license plate from the front of your vehicle. However, it is not considered a "moving violation". FYI: Due to a loophole in the Ohio Revised Code, you need only to display the plate from the front of the car, which does include just placing it on the dash board. --- The front of the car means the front of the car. The windshield is the middle of the car. You will pay for that ticket.
According to the ticket in my lap, yes it is. Constitutes as a moving violation by obstructing view to the license plate.
no. this infraction is not a "moving violation" you can only receive points for moving violations so expired plates or parking tickets etc do not count.
You can contact EP Traffic Department to check a traffic violation on a car number plate in KSA.
Depends on the city where you live. Columbus is $45.00.
I'm not sure what the official fine is for no front plate, or if there even is an official fine amount. I got a ticket for no front plate while my car was parked, and the officer checked the box for "failure to display lic. plate", and then wrote in pencil "no front plate". The fee for not showing any license plate at all is $85 dollars, which is what they're charging me. Seems a little unfair.
That code is for not having A License plate on your vehicle 5200 (A) = no rear license plate 5200 (AX) = no front plates
NO - only if you are REGISTERED in the new state, and do NOT put a front plate on - for example, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. If your car is registered legally in PA ( Rear plate only) and you drive in to New Jersey, you can not be stopped for not having a front plate - only cars REGISTERED in NJ need the front plate.
