Paint thinner in general is toxic to smell or eat. So therefore I would not recommend being near it other than usage; still I would suggest using gloves and a doctor mask. As for being on your skin, I do not know, it shouldn't harm you unless it is dry or extremely toxic.

Can you take nail polish off with paint thinner?

Yes. Paint thinner often contains acetone which is the dissolving agent in most major nail polish removers. Just be sure to use it sparringly and in a well ventilated area because paint thinner can be dangerous to have on your skin and to inhale. Be sure to moisturize afterwards; the oils on your skin are easily remmoved by the thinner as well as the nail polish.

What is the best way to remove interior paint from your skin?

Oil based paint is best removed with mineral oil or heavy cream like a cold cream. Do not use paint thinner on your skin, it is way too harsh. For latex paint, use soap and water, if the paint is dried use hand cream of baby oil.

How do you remove spray paint from porcelain?

I would try the Best Cleaner Ever from ScraPerfect. It is effective and safe--for people and the environment. It removes spray paint and other kinds of paint and yet it has no fumes and is safe for skin. (It also removes adhesive and sharpie markers...) You can google it--there are lots of videos about it also.

How do you remove latex based paint from the skin?

Soap and warm water should do the trick with latex paint. Don't go around trying to get it off with paint thinner or acetone; those are for oil-based paints. If it's a good quality paint or dried hard, you might have to scrub a bit, but if it's still wet it will come right off. Hot water and scrubbing with my finger tips works well for me. Our skin is porous, whatever we put on it is absorbed by our bodies through the blood vessels. Never put thinners or similar solvents on your skin, especially acetone, tolulene, etc.
