∙ 13y agoNo, peer to peer networks in themselves are not illegal, however transferring copyrighted material without consent from the copyright holder is illegal, regardless of whether it is transferred thru peer to peer networks.

P2P programs were created to share files between friends easily, but people discovered they could rip music and share that too.
