I've tried to find the brand description online but have been unsuccessful. First, check the label. Traditional pesto genovese does not use meat but uses Parmesan cheese. Many Parmesan cheeses are made with animal rennet. If it is, it is not vegetarian. Some Parmesan cheeses are made with vegetarian friendly rennets. If this is so, then your sauce probably is vegetarian.
