no as acids are corrosive they dmage irreversibly most of the materialsl

petro-acid
hi, polyester is a synthetic fibre derived from coal, air, water and petroleum. polyester fibres are formed from a chemical reaction between an acid and alcohol.
Polyester is a material that fabric is fabricated from. Polyester can be knitted into fabrics that will stretch. Polyester also can be woven into fabrics that will not stretch. Polyester can be blended with other materials and fabricated into fabrics that will and will not stretch.

Reaction product of reacting acid with alcohol to give an ester this is called polyester, saturated polyester is reaction product of saturated acid " may be aromatic dibasic acids like phthalic anhydride, isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid,etc.... or aliphatic aicds like adipic, sebacicl,....etc." with alcohol like " glycerol, pentaerythritol, trimethylol propane, neopentyl glycol, etc......." . Any chemical resistance , including acid resistance, is a physical property of a material.
Polyester is water resistant. It is better than other materials (like nylon). I have worn pants with polyester on the outside for skiing and is very good for the snow. Make sure to wear layers if u go skiing. :)

Consumers prized polyester for its wrinkle resistance and iron-free maintenance, its ability to maintain shape after repeated washing, and its permanent heat-setting treatment process.
I don't know what CH2COOH is but CH3COOH is acetic acid. This might be what you mean.
