No, these are two distinct diagnoses.
An adjustment disorder is a direct result in having more than average difficulty adjusting to a change in one's life such as a parent's divorce or changing schools. It can lead to someone experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression or a mixture of both. It can also lead to one having outbursts and conduct problems. It is directly linked to the life change or stessor one experiences.
PTSD is the result of experiencing extreme trauma or perceived trauma, the results of which are preventing you from beign fully functional in your everyday life. You experience intrusive thoughts, flashbacks or dreams of the trauma which leave you feeling as if you are experiencing it all over again. You tend to avoid situations that remind you of the event and are hypervigilant concerning future perceived threats.
