Poverty isn't as bad as it was 100 years ago, but in many poor countries poverty is still running rampant and shamefully so. Today the world is far better equipped to handle things like poverty, but Governments are slow to move, while people live in the worst conditions known to man.

Poverty has always been in Africa it all depends on how the seasons operate However the horrible crushing poverty that seems to be a feature of many places in Africa is the result of the colonialist occupations that the African country's had to endure. the western world threw the native way of life into caos. then when they were forced to leave the poverty became even worse as a result of the greed of the western world's not accepting responsibility for the damage they did. The root of the poverty that exists in Africa and in many other country's through out the world Started around 3 to 4 hundred years ago.
