well,according to state law,prank calling is illegal,but it depends on what you say,like for example,you call somebody and you like complant to pizza hut but its not Pizza hut on the phone and you don't use any innapropriate words then that's not illegal.but if you call 9-1-1 and like prank call them, then...........

Many people have said that In the UK if you prank call that you well get a warning. But if you prank call and say harrsing things of keep on calling then that is against the law and you'd have to pay money or go to prison for 6 months.
