As simple as praying is, it is very important. There is a familiar saying among those in a religious environment and that is: "no prayer no power, little prayer little power, much prayer much power." What prayer really entails is communication with God.

When Jesus was here on the Earth in the flesh, he knew the importance of prayer. He always made time to pray to his Father in Heaven. Jesus would often pray early in the morning, as well as late at night. He would make time to be alone with his Father. If Jesus put his life of prayer into practice, his follows should also make time to prioritize prayer in their lives. Remember, God is everywhere, so as followers of Christ, we should "practice" the present of God.

One goal or benefit of praying on a daily basis is that it will have an impact on your faith. One scripture in The Bible says that prayer is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. So prayer coupled with faith can actually bring unseen things to the seen realm. Prayer can impact your own personal life and your family's lives as well. Prayer can be a corporate experience as well as an individual experience. Prayer is one way that we can communicate with God. God can hear and answer all prayers.

Jesus taught his disciples the importance of prayer. They were to pray and faint not. They were also to pray daily to the Father to have their needs met.
