By praying God you can get a good environment of good spirits. These good spirits protect you from the possession of the evil spirits. Evil spirits always looking for the opportunities to possess and spoil the people. Therefore humans need an environment of good spirits. You can get this environment only by living a moral and good life.

If you are a good man you will feel that all the good things which you experience and enjoy in your life is by the grace of God. People who live morally good life without hurting others find always contentment and true happiness. They always wish to thank God for every pleasure they enjoy and every benefits they get. Therefore they praise God in their own ways by appreciating Him for His good deeds, kindness and love.

Human beings are ruled by spirits but humans must learn to control and rule the spirits. Spirits possess people according to the mental state of the human beings and keep them in the same state until they are rejected and replaced by another. This is an all time phenomena occurring in all humans. Human beings are always under the influence of spirits. Certain situations and circumstances cause the possession of certain type of spirits. Often thinking and talking about bad subjects or bad imaginations even for fun can take serious turns on one who think and talk. Often thinking and talking about good subjects with good imaginations can create positive effects in your life. Your favorable thoughts and beliefs can bring favorable spirits by your side. The more you think the more would be the possession of that spirit. All spirits (good and bad) have the possessing and dominating nature. Only because of this nature a drunkard dies as a drunkard and a scholar reaches a top position by studying more and more. They can take you to the extent of sacrifice or suicide.

All of your activities, talks and even thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life. Only these spirits are the reason for the good and bad happening in your life. These spirits determine your destiny from your daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Spirits are separate elements. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Further there will be always some spirits on behalf of your parents, friends, relatives and other people. These spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is a device used by your spirits to control your body. A mind is a combination/formation of many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get its mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism. After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives after death in any form and there is no afterlife. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

You must not leave your mind in its own way. If you do, the spirit will take full control of your mind, then controlling it is not so easy. First of all you must think and believe that it's not you. Then you must command that spirit both mentally and orally to go. Whenever you are possessed by that thought you must divert your mind at once towards some other subject and stay in it for a while and then continue your duty. This is a mental exercise. You may also bring at once an opposite feeling through your imagination. For example if the depression is about your future then you may think, imagine and believe that you are going to live a healthy, wealthy and happy life in future. You must continue this exercise for few days. While doing this exercise you are creating an opposing spirit, i.e., a positive force. Soon this new spirit gets stronger and eliminates the negative force. Within a few days you will be alright.

The Lord's prayer is found in the Book of Matthew 6: 9-13 in these words. " Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. Give us today our bread for this day, and forgive us our debt, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.

If we analyse this prayer step by step, we will realise that God is our Father, who lives in heaven. We will come to the conclusion that God has a name, like we all do. God has a kingdom that is going to come and due to his kingdom, his will, will take place as in heaven also on earth.

Psalms 83: 18 shows that God wants us to know his name in these words. " May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

The fact that Jehovah is the Most High over all the earth, gives us an idea of his power.

The Most High is the head of a Kingdom that is going to come, which is a government with a King. That King is Jesus. Read Daniel 2: 44

God's kingdom will undo all the harm that millenniums of human rule have done.

It will provide a perfect health, peace and security, and a clean environment for all those who take their stand for God's government. Read Revelation 19: 15, 17, 18; Isaiah 33: 24; Revelation 21:4.

Psalms37: 29 reads" The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it, which is the opportunity that was offered to Adam and Eve. Read Genesis 2: 15-17.

Unfortunately they did not take their stand for God's requirements, but have chosen to take their stand for the one who promised them that they will be like God. Read Genesis 3: 1-5.

The fact that we can count on God for our daily food, does not mean that we should not work hard, it means that we could count on God that he will help us to provide for our family, and it is not necessary to be too anxious about what tomorrow brings.

God wants us to know that he is a forgiving God and he expects us to be forgiving also. And the only way to not fall into any temptation, Matthew 4: 4 has this to say. " Man/ woman must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah God's mouth."

So to answer your question, which is why is the Lord's prayer so important? It is important because it sets the bases for a healthy spiritual, physical and psychological life, which is missing in people's lives today.

Psalms 1: 1,2 reads. " Happy is the man/ woman who does not walk according to the advice of the wicked .... But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, and he reads His law in an undertone day and night. Which means that he meditates on God's law which is lifesaving.

John 17: 3 reads. " This means everlasting life their coming to know you, the only true god, and the one the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was sent on earth by Jehovah God,2'000 years ago, to redeem the human race from the curse of sin and death and to undo the damage caused by Satan. Read John 3: 16; 1 John 3: 8.

Jesus Christ is also the one who told us to pray for God's Kingdom (government) to come in the Lord's prayer found in Matthew 6: 9-13.

While all of it is important, there are some highly important subjects that it addresses that tie into the overall theme of The Bible, and even life itself.

Right from the start, Jesus asks for Jehovah God's name to be sanctified. (Matthew 6:9) The sanctity of his Father's name was 1 of the main things Jesus was out to do-Clear the reproach that had been brought on His reputation due to the lies of the Devil. Christ's followers are still doing that same thing today, teaching people accurate truths about Jehovah from the Bible to others. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Jesus next prays for Jehovah's kingdom to come and for His will to be done on Earth and in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10) This kingdom Jesus referenced is one that will eventually take over Earth in the coming future, never to be removed or overthrown by any other government. (Daniel 2:44) This kingdom will bring untold and eternal peace and harmony to mankind on a global scale. (Isaiah 2:2-4) Jehovah's will is for Earth to be inhabited by perfect, righteous people who will fulfill the original mandates given to Adam and Eve, as well as being able to live forever. (Genesis 1:28; Psalm 37:11 & 29) Heaven will once again be in perfect harmony with Earth in the sense that all will worship Jehovah in purity; no sin to get in the way.

Jesus mentioning to "give us today our bread" shows his reliance on Jehovah for his physical need, something that he knew Jehovah would take care of as long as he put the interests of His kingdom as first priority in his life. (Matthew 6:33) Asking for forgiveness from Jehovah as we in turn forgive others that need it from us (Matthew 6:12) shows that we need to regularly forgive others, if in turn we want to be forgiven by Jehovah. (Colossians 3:13)

Jesus asking to not be delivered into temptation but to be delivered "from the wicked one" (Matthew 6:13) shows that we need Jehovah to fully be rid of Satan (Revelation 20:10), and meantime we rely on Him to endure Satan's attacks presently.
