Can you take Bromfed DM syrup and Promethazine with Codeine syrup at the same time?
Can you? Yes. But it is not necessary. A pharmacist told me today that the Bromfed and Promethazine both contain an antihistamine, the promethazine being stronger. It was suggested to take either/or, but not both, preferably the Promethazine.
Is Promethazine Hydrochloride Oral Solution the same as Phenergan Syrup?
Yes. It's the generic version.
What is the difference between Alpharma Actavis Hi-Tech MGP and Qualitest Promethazine with Codeine cough syrup?
I know that Alpharma and Actavis are supposed to be the strongest of the cough syrups and that Acatavis bought out Alpharma and recently discontinued their Promethazine with Codeine syrup, but why are they the strongest? Why exactly are they the best if all of the different brands of cough syrup contain the same amount of promethazine and codeine as the next. If someone could elaborate on this, it'd be a great help. They are not the same thing. Promethazine is generic for Phenergan which is used commonly for nausea and vomiting. Guaifenesin is used to loosen mucus.
