yes....but as far as I am aware, very few games will utilse more than ONE core and as such you'll get better results with a dual core with higher clock speeds, also they are cheaper.
Saying that its far more important to spend as_much_as_you_can_afford on a good GPU as this will have a much bigger impact on your gaming performance. (graphics processing unit)
if you're building from scratch make sure you get a motherboard with a decent Front Side Bus and a Power Supply Unit that will be able to power it all.
It depends on what you are going to be doing with the computer. Multi tasking, gaming..exc..
It's better to have the Quad Core 2.4 GHz CPU because most games nowadays support multi-core processors.
The HTC One M7 had a 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU. The HTC One M8 had two variants, a 2.26 GHz quad-core or a 2.45 GHz quad-core.
The AMD Quad Core runs at 1.5 Ghz. Multiply it by the amount of cores and you get 6 Ghz. 6 Ghz vs. 3.20 Ghz, which means the Quad core is better than the Intel Pentium 4.
The 2.66 Ghz Quad core is the better processor. the quad core has a top manufacture speed "no over clocking" of 10.64 Ghz and the core duo and 6.66 Ghz manufacture speed. UNLESS the core duo has a wopping load of cache speed witch is a hole nothing story
Definetly, go for a Core 2 Quad at 2.0, do some overclocking to 2.2 GHZ it would be the best option for a fast, reliable and gaming able laptop.
yes it will do even better because a quad processor that is 2.33 ghz means that it has 4 processors and that each one is 2.33 ghz... therefore by doing 4 x 2.33 you get a resulting answer of 9.32 ghz. So yes the quad core processor will run the game and in fact it will run it very well... by the way i have a 2.5 ghz quad core processor. yes it will do even better because a quad processor that is 2.33 ghz means that it has 4 processors and that each one is 2.33 ghz... therefore by doing 4 x 2.33 you get a resulting answer of 9.32 ghz. Should I buy a Intel core i5-4670k quad-core desktop processor 3.4 ghz 6 mb cache that is $391 or a Intel core i5-4670k quad-core desktop processor 3.4 ghz 6 mb cache $274
No, you need a 2.6 ghz dual core, or a quad core to run it at its full potential.
Having more cores on a computer is more useful than haveing slightly more ghz
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is a computer tablet that has a quad core 1.4 GHz processor. Also available is the IdeaTab K2 tablet with a quad-core ARM processor.
