yes, depends how you look at it, since time can remember jatts have always been highest in India due to their skills and power...etc, they were originally Scythia origin gypsies accepted by the hindus, they were originally the highest and unbeatable, as time went on some went against hindu culture because of their origin and accepted sikhism (some), most sikhs are of higher or mid caste hindu origin, jatts never descended from the hindus they were Scythia ( not indian) , they were just recruited by sikhs and hindus , when they went aginst hindu norms the hindus got mad and decided to degrade them and labeled them sudra ( lower caste) when they never were sudra and made up a false background
