For me, i particularly don't like listening to rock, or any other sung music for that matter. The words being sung, for me, is very distracting. I find myself singing along or listening to the lyrics more than I am studying.
I'd rather listen to Classical Music. But of course, everyone's opion is different, so its all up to you.
