The roundel does not have a Latin meaning, however the Motto has a Latin meaning. It is " Per Ardua ad Astra " - -" Through hardships to the stars "
You would have to replace to whole airbag unit. Don't try to prie the emblem off .. wont work. Just buy a new overlay roundel and stick it on top of the old one.
An example of a Roundel is a circular concentric design of National colours on the wing of a military aeroplane.
A roundel. Not all contain a star, and not all are "round".
There is more than five. Julienne, roundel, dice, chiffonade paysanne that's five
Yes, definitely they were recognised. It's aircraft were also individually recognised by the red ,white and blue 'roundel' and fin flash.
The ornaments or "roundels" as they are called are pressed into two rubber grommets. You will need a long thin (longer the better) flat bladed screwdriver to prise with and then something firm and thin to put between the screwdriver and the hood/trunk of the car so as not to dent or scratch the paint. I have used cardboard, rubber mat, or a tightly folded paper towel. Slide the blade end of the screwdriver under one side of the roundel (Doesn't matter where you start.)and then place your cardboard, rubber etc under the screwdriver as close to the blade as possible. Gently press down on the handle of the screwdriver taking care to not dent or scratch the paint. Repeat the procedure at regular intervals around the roundel until it comes loose.(like every 90 degrees or so) Some can be very tight so have patience and be gentle and it will come loose. Once you have the roundel out you can wipe out the dirt and grime that has accumulated. Installation is very easy. Align the studs on the bottom of the roundel with the rubber grommets and press in using even pressure around the whole roundel. I use both hands and put fingers all around to distribute the load. Once it's in flush, stand back and admire.....That's what I did! .
The fuselage and wing markings are a roundel in light blue with white and dark blue device (similar to that of a UN agency). The fin flash is the national flag.
Get a screw driver & a rag. Wrap the rag around the screw driver & get it under the roundel (you may need something even skinnier to it up a little extra to fit in the screw driver)... With enough force you will pop it out of the grommets holding it in. Just don't go crazy, take your time. To get another roundel on you should get two new grommets (quite cheap) and put them on the replacement one. Line it up with the holes & start pushing.
It is an aftermarket decal. You can purchase the entire "roundel" or the stickers than peel back off. They also have the carbon fiber ones and black/white combos.
