Men typically attempt to "Get the job done!" rather than slow down and enjoy the scenery.This is probably a result of imbedded instincts as male animals are vulnerable during sex and therefore attempt to complete the action before they are caught.
The best sex is made by teasing both partners for a long period until ejaculation is inevitable and cannot be stopped. In my experience, women often are the ones that want it urgently when they are nearing completion. In effect, once the path has been efficiently covered, why not dash to the end!
