Yes, the smoke from any type of welder is toxic and prolonged exposure can cause cancer, this is why most welders hold their breath while running a weld, or like me you may have an adflow mask which circulates fresh air around the helmet, preventing you from breathing in this smoke. Safety warning labels on all welding equipment should also tell you this information.
Hope this helps.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wouldn't be good for you anyway! I would say direct inhalation of any smoke can be damaging, but it depends on exposure!
Spot welder dimensions may vary depending on the make or brand of welder. The average dimensions of a spot welder are approximately 170 x 460 x 350 mm.
Smoke Spot was created in 1993.
Spot welding is a form of resistance welding invented by Elihu Thompson in the late 1800s.
On average, a welder breathes in two pounds of smoke in a month. Over a years amount of time, your lungs will have turned into charcoal, and you will die a painful death. There is no cure for this. Only death.
Spot welder, staples, nails.
It's not so much the duty cycle you have to worry about but the current draw, 8 gauge wire is more than sufficient to hold the current draw of your spot welder.
A spot welder uses 2 electrodes positioned opposite each other. 2 pieces of metal (usually thin) are placed like a sandwich between the electrodes which come together with force and an electrical current is passed thru them which actually melts the pieces where they touch each other. This produces a small weld "spot" . This spot is about the same size as the tips of the electrodes.
It is always bad to smoke.
