Gryffindor: Professer McGonagall Hufflepuff: Professer Sprout Ravenclaw: Professer Flitwick Slytherin: 1-6 Professer Snape 7 Professer Slughorn ( He was head of house for Slytherin in the 6th book in the few hours after Snape left the castle).

Yes. In all of them.
Andromeda Black, mother of Nymphadora Tonks.Sirius Black.Horace Slughorn.Severus Snape (at least he changed his mind).Being in Slytherin doesn't mean you automatically have allegiance to Lord Voldemort and the death eaters. The traits of Slytherin house are cunningness, resourcefulness, determination and ambition. Slytherin's can become powerful people and have natural leadership qualities. Slytherin's can do both good and bad, just like everybody else.As the series is focused around the war, all of the characters are in some way connected to it hence why many have the impression that all Slytherin's are evil.
Snape Snape Severus Snape.
Dumbledore does not survive all seven books. He is killed by Snape in the sixth book.
Severus Snape He was the potions master in all of the books except the last.
Severus Snape is the potions master at Hogwarts. (Major spoilers by the way). Snape was a childhood friend of Lily, Harry's mother. He dislikes Harry because he reminds Snape of Harry's father, James, who bullied Snape when they were in school. Snape always loved Lily, and he resented her and James for getting married.
Harry finds respect in Snape at the end of the Potter series as Snape was actually helping and protecting Harry all along all for the respect of Lily's memory who Snape was in love with.
They all have won at least one match, even in the books! Ravenclaw beat Gryffindor and Gryffindor beat Slytherin and Hufflepuff Slytherin beat Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw in Philosopher's Stone alone! Hufflepuff beat Gryffindor in Prisoner of Azkaban
"After all this time?"-Dumbledore "Always."-Snape
Slytherin has bad connotations despite the fact that not all slytherins are bad, Gryffindor has good connotations just because that is the house that harry is in but not all Gryffindors are good.
