Best Answer

Sodium does not have naturally occurring radioactive isotopes - as it has only 1 naturally occurring isotope, which has 11 protons and 12 neutrons, and is not radioactive. However, the 18 other known types of sodium isotopes are all radioactive, and sodium-22 (the most stable radioactive sodium isotope) has a half life of 2.6 years.

Is isotope an example of sodium chloride?

Sodium chloride is a compound, not an isotope.

Is an isotope sodium chloride?

Sodium chloride is a chemical compound not an isotope. But:- natural sodium contain the rare radioactive isotope 22Na and the stable isotope 23Na- natural chlorine contain the rare radioactive isotope 36Cl and the stable isotopes 35Cl and 37Cl

What is the most common isotope of neon?

Na -23 is the most abundant isotope, because the atomic massfor Na on the periodical table of elements is 22.99 and 22.99 isclosest to 23.

What isotope has 11 protons12 neutrons and 11 electrons?

The number of protons in an atom determines what that atom is called. Therefore, sodium, or Na, always has 11 protons. The particular isotope of sodium that has 12 neutrons is called 23Na, and is the only stable isotope of sodium.

What are subatomic particles found in sodium and chlorine?

Sodium has 11 electrons and protons; the number of neutrons is specific for each isotope. Number of neutrons in a sodium isotope = Mass number - 11

What is the two most common isotope of sodium?

Sodium-23 and Sodium-22 are two common isotopes of sodium. Na-23 is the only stable isotope of Sodium. Na-22 is one of the two isomers (the other of which is Na-24). -V

What is the symbol for a sodium isotope with 12 neutrons?

no symbol

How many nutrons does sodium have?

Sodium-23 the only isotope occuring in nature has 12 neutrons

How many isotopes does sodium have?

1. Sodium has 20 isotopes and 2 isomers. 2. Only the isotope 23Na is stable. 3. The stable isotope 23Na and the radioactive isotopes 22Na and 24Na (these isotopes exist in traces) are natural isotopes.

What is the isotope notation for sodium?

'Na' is the atomic notation of sodium. Hope this helps :)

Isotope of sodium with a mass number 25 the number of neutrons in this isotope?

Sodium is element nr. 11, which means 11 protons, so 25 - 11 = 14. Note that there is no actual Sodium isotope with mass 25.

How many protons in a isotope of sodium with a mass number of 25?

All sodium atoms have 11 protons.
